Code of Conduct
MySportsPlace.com has put together a Code of Conduct to give everybody some guidelines regarding behavior on the site. From this point forward within this Code of Conduct, the verbiage “User” refers to and includes any Member, Guest, or User of this website. "MSP" refers to MySportsPlace.com. "Staff" refers to any Administrator, Moderator or other person(s) on the MSP management team or staff.
Most importantly, just use common sense. MySportsPlace.com has become a popular place on the Internet because there is generally a very friendly tone here and it's a great place for sport fans to meet other sport fans. The most important thing is to just treat others well. Don’t engage in any harassment of another User. You aren’t expected to like everybody, please simply ignore people you don’t like. Administrators, Moderators and other Staff are assigned the task of upholding the following regulations. These regulations are subject to change without notice and it is recommended that you periodically review this document in order to keep current with our policies. You, as a User of this website, maintain full liability for your actions on this website and we reserve the right to terminate your account at anytime and for any reason without notice. The site has the right to take down anybody’s content at anytime.
Age:
All persons who utilize this website must be 13 years of age or older. If you are under 13, please come back to visit us at a later date. Minors are encouraged to exercise caution when using forums and chats due to their unpredictable nature.
Legal:
This website assumes no responsibility regarding the things you may or may not say, do, or view. You alone are responsible for what you say and how you conduct yourself on this website, and you are responsible for the consequences of your actions.
You may not use this website in any manner other than its intended use.
You may not use this website to promote drugs, firearms, pornography or any other illegal and/or criminal activities. You may not link to any other website in the chats, forums, or your personal profile that is deemed inappropriate by the Administrators, Moderators, or Staff of this website.
Username:
If any member of the Staff feels that your Username is inappropriate, it can be deleted immediately without warning. Please try and keep the Usernames clean and respectful.
Personal:
Do not harass any other User in the Forums, Chat rooms, Private Messaging, or anywhere else on this website. If you don't like somebody, simply ignore him or her; DO NOT HARASS them. Do not post any personal contact information of yours or any other User's you may have knowledge of on any MSP public Forum or Chat.
Language:
If any Administrator, Moderator, or other Staff of this site feels that you have used an excessive amount of vulgar or inappropriate language, they can take whatever action they deem necessary without any warning. Try to keep the language on our site as clean as possible. MSP has a Word Censor feature installed that will modify as much inappropriate language as possible. DO NOT bypass or circumvent the Word Censor feature with spaces, creative spelling, and, or, special characters. Doing so will be grounds for immediate and possibly permanently banishment from MSP. Anything deemed inappropriate by the Staff will be considered a violation of these rules and regulations and can result in whatever action the MSP Staff feels necessary.
Graphics and Images:
Inappropriate graphics, pictures, images, photos, or the likes may be requested removed at the discretion of the MSP Staff. If you are requested to remove content of this nature and do not, a member of the MSP Staff will remove the content and you will become subject to being banned from MSP.
Links:
Any links contained within a post are your responsibility. DO NOT post any links to another website deemed inappropriate and, or, more specifically in violation of the standards and rules set within the MSP Code of Conduct or Terms of Use. Any such links will be removed and may be grounds for immediate banishment from MSP.
Warnings:
Member Warnings will no loner be displayed beside the member's avatar. The site's Moderators and Administrators will track warnings issued to any account and a member will be notified upon reaching their 8th warning. The practice of a member being automatically banned upon receiving their 10th warning is still in effect. Also, any member can be banned temporarily, or permanently, for any reason at any time as deemed appropriate by the MSP management team.
Respect for MSP Administrators, Moderators, and Staff:
ANY USER who threatens or attacks an Administrator, Moderator or any other MSP Staff member in any way, harasses one, engages in any debate about the private identity of one, or participates in any campaign of disrespect toward them can be banned from the site immediately and permanently. Any User who impersonates any Staff, including but not limited to an Employee, Moderator, or Administrator shall be in violation of this Code of Conduct and will be banned immediately and permanently. Questioning this web site's Management on the Public Forums will also not be tolerated, to any degree. If you have a concern or issue that needs attention, communicate it to an Administrator through Private Messaging (PM). Any correspondences between an MSP Member and Administrator, Moderator or Management through Private Messaging or E-mail is considered as confidential and are not to be posted back out on the forums, discussed on the forums, or passed along in a PM, E-mail, Instant Messaging, and etc., to another MSP Member. Depending on the nature of the issue(s) discussed, MSP may remove any such posts or PM and the Member will become subject to being banned in accordance to this Code of Conduct.
NHB Forum:
Users are only allowed into the NHB if the administrator's have given them access. Any users who let's another user use his or her username to access NHB will be removed from the forum or banned from the website. Furthermore, users are NOT to give their password to any user in any case.
Hacking:
Any attempt to gain unauthorized access to any computer, file or network is illegal and will be punished to the fullest extent as allowable by law.
Spam:
Any commercial posts are prohibited unless you have been granted the explicit right from a MySportsPlace.com Administrator. You may only create a Membership/Username for an individual. It shall be a violation of this document to create an account for a group, company, or any other commercial entity.
Staff:
All MySportsPlace.com Staff must follow all of the rules and regulations within this document.
Privacy:
It is strongly recommended that you follow common sense in the line of protecting your privacy. Remember not to give out your full real name, address, telephone number, social security number, credit card or other personal information to strangers. The identity to the person you are giving this information to is unknown. Many people at MySportsPlace.com who have met each other online have gone on to meet each other offline. We encourage people who do so to be very cautious in their actions and this site is not responsible for such activities. We further suggest and recommend that you get to know another User as well as possible before meeting offline. Make sure to meet in a very public place. Tell your family and friends beforehand where you will be meeting such an individual and be sure to have a cell phone with you in case of emergencies. We also highly recommend that you do not meet anybody outside of your age range unless a large number of people from the site are getting together. Remember that there is safety in numbers, so be very careful about meeting somebody alone.
Number One Rule:
This document was intended to protect all of the Users of this website, and to fuel a safe and fun environment for all of our Users. The number one rule of the site is to be respectful and HAVE FUN!
